Product Description
Solidify, Encapsulate & Neutralize! Our bucket kits are used to solidify a wide range of both acid and base spills. These polymers will neutralize and change color to let you know neutralization has taken place. Kits can be used to treat free–flowing spills. They can also be used as a precautionary measure in advance of a spill occurring (used in a drip pan).
Administration is easy; simply apply the neutralizer (powder, sock, etc.) from the perimeter of the spill inwards. Foaming will result from the addition of the neutralizer to the acid or base. Continue applying until the liquid is a uniform gel and color indicator has changed to neutralization. Be careful not to over neutralize.
Neutralization will generate some heat and gassing off. Amounts will vary depending on the size and location of the spill. Rise in temperature will be less when surface area is larger. Dispose of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

NOTE: Avoid contact with metallic nitrates, cyanides, sulfides and strong oxidizers. Contact with sodium or calcium hypochlorite creates chlorine gas.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE WITH HYDROFLUORIC ACID.
