Keep your work area, workers, and equipment safe with facility protection products. Designed to prevent or fix existing problems, facility protection equipment, when added, lowers maintenance costs over time. All industrial and manufacturing work environments should be modified with such pieces not only to keep the work area in better physical shape but also to protect employees from injuries.
Air curtains are one type of facility protection equipment sold through our store. Each curtain creates a high speed barrier to prevent the loss of heated or cooled air in a space.
Other pieces of facility protection equipment, on the other hand, fulfill a specific safety need. Column protectors, made from high-density polyethylene, will protect corners, posts, and beams in a warehouse or similar environment. The equipment keeps the corner or point in shape and also absorbs impact from a bump or crash. Similarly, post sleeves not only improve the appearance of a pole but, through high-density polyethylene, keep it protected from external forces.
Other facility protection equipment pertains to vehicles operating inside or outside of a workspace. Dock plates, now a mainstay in logistics facilities, span the opening between a dock and trailer and allow workers to move easily between both. Floor protection acts as speed bumps inside through corrugated or vinyl plate runners. Proper speed bumps are necessary, as well, for most work places, and should be added, along with parking stops and cable protectors, as facility protection equipment for the outside.
Specific doors may be required for an industrial work environment, and impact and strip doors are both standard. The latter are ABS doors made with a reinforced spine, while strip doors consist of overlapping pieces of PVC.
Safety in a workplace also means making parts ADA-compliant and free from hazards. Warning pads, designed for the visually impaired, are colored yellow and have a metal surface punctuated by bumps. Visually-impaired workers, when sensing the warning pad, know the surface has changed. But even when ADA compliance isn’t a concern, a workplace should be free from hazards, and drip diverts prevent spills from occurring from a leaking roof or pipe.
